Sound Recording #1
Much of the sound-based work I had done before Crwydro concerned manipulating recorded sound, using samplers or digital editing. During the project I instead began to focus on making recordings that were ‘clean’ and unedited. The focus began to shift towards presenting the sound in a particular way, or recording it according to a self-imposed methodology.
During the project my sonic wanderings included making recordings underwater and recordings of flies leaving and arriving at piles of dung. The latter project resulted in Pete’s sons dubbing me ‘Fly Poo Man’ as well as several bizarre encounters with horse riders and walkers.
